GPS with phone
Getting Bluetooth GPS device was one of those “I just want to have one even though I really don’t know what to do with it” purchases. I finally gave up during Christmas holiday and got myself Insmat InsSiRF III toy.
I have Route66 with U.K. maps and TomTom with nordic maps in my phone and I have to say I’m slightly disappointed with it. It’s totally unusable inside a train and pretty much unusable inside a bus. One of the execuses I had to get one was to not get lost when using busses in London and it seems that I still have to keep on looking out of the window while trying to guess where I am.
One the other hand it works reasonably well if received is in top pocket of my backbag and I used it today to get somekind of idea which way I was walking in Hamstead Heath.
